Winterization

Being a boat owner in Canada means cold winters and waiting for the longer sunny days to come back so that we can get back on the lake. With that, however, comes a need for marine winterization maintenance.

Boat winterization is the process of preparing your boat for cold weather and storing it properly to prevent damage from freezing temperatures, snow, ice, and other winter conditions. This process involves draining water from various systems, adding antifreeze, and performing routine maintenance to protect the engine and all other components.

Common damage that occurs when you fail to properly winterize your boat includes cracked engine blocks, cracked exhaust manifolds, cracked ballast tanks, and unfortunately much more.

Luckily, at Martin Motor Sports, we offer both winterization and storage options to assist you in protecting your investment through the cold winter months. Fill out the Service Request form below to book your Winterization appointment, or learn more about our storage facilities here.
